LinkVault Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
Effective date: July 6, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") explains the rules governing the use of all LinkVault products and services, including:
- LinkVault Bio (app.linkvault.bio)
- LinkVault Marketplace (shop.linkvault.bio)
- LinkVault Authentication Services
- LinkVault APIs
- Mobile Applications
- Vendor Stores
- Customer Accounts
- Messaging Services
- Developer Tools
- Any current or future LinkVault products or services (collectively, the "Services").
This Policy forms part of the LinkVault Terms and Conditions. Every user, customer, vendor, developer, and visitor must comply with this Policy.
Failure to comply may result in suspension, termination, removal of content, restriction of features, withholding of payouts, reporting to relevant authorities, or legal action.
1. Purpose
LinkVault is committed to providing a safe, secure, professional, and trustworthy platform for individuals, businesses, creators, vendors, developers, and customers.
This Policy exists to:
- Protect users
- Prevent fraud
- Maintain platform integrity
- Protect intellectual property
- Ensure legal compliance
- Promote fair use
- Prevent abuse of our infrastructure
2. General Responsibilities
Every user agrees to:
- Use the Services lawfully.
- Respect other users.
- Maintain accurate account information.
- Protect account credentials.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Use the Services only for legitimate purposes.
You are responsible for all activity conducted through your account.
3. Illegal Activities
You may not use LinkVault to engage in or facilitate illegal activities, including but not limited to:
- Fraud
- Identity theft
- Money laundering
- Terrorist financing
- Human trafficking
- Child exploitation
- Distribution of illegal materials
- Sale of stolen property
- Tax fraud
- Financial scams
- Bribery
- Corruption
- Sanctions evasion
- Any activity prohibited under applicable law
4. Fraud and Deception
Users must not:
- Create fake accounts.
- Impersonate another individual or organization.
- Use stolen identities.
- Provide false verification documents.
- Misrepresent products or services.
- Falsify order information.
- Manipulate transactions.
- Commit payment fraud.
- Abuse chargebacks.
- Circumvent marketplace fees.
- Use deceptive business practices.
5. Spam and Unsolicited Communications
You may not use LinkVault to send:
- Spam
- Bulk unsolicited messages
- Chain messages
- Pyramid schemes
- Multi-level marketing campaigns without authorization
- Automated advertising
- Mass promotional messages
- Unwanted commercial communications
Repeated unsolicited messaging may result in immediate suspension.
6. Malware and Harmful Code
You must not upload, distribute, link to, or promote:
- Malware
- Viruses
- Worms
- Trojan horses
- Ransomware
- Spyware
- Keyloggers
- Botnet software
- Malicious scripts
- Harmful executables
- Software intended to compromise systems
Any attempt to compromise LinkVault infrastructure will result in immediate account termination.
7. Phishing and Social Engineering
The following are strictly prohibited:
- Phishing websites
- Fake login pages
- Credential harvesting
- Fake payment pages
- Fake customer support
- QR-code phishing
- SMS phishing
- Email phishing
- Business email compromise
- Social engineering attacks
Bio pages designed to imitate banks, payment processors, government agencies, or other organizations for deceptive purposes will be removed immediately.
8. Marketplace Conduct
Vendors must not:
- Sell counterfeit products.
- Sell stolen goods.
- Misrepresent product quality.
- Artificially inflate prices through deceptive practices.
- Manipulate reviews.
- Cancel accepted orders without legitimate reason.
- Fail to deliver purchased products.
- Misuse customer information.
Customers must not:
- Submit fraudulent payment disputes.
- Abuse refund systems.
- Harass Vendors.
- Leave knowingly false reviews.
- Attempt to obtain products without payment.
9. Prohibited Products and Services
Unless expressly permitted by LinkVault and applicable law, you may not list, advertise, or sell:
- Counterfeit goods
- Stolen property
- Illegal drugs
- Controlled substances
- Drug paraphernalia
- Weapons and ammunition
- Explosives
- Hazardous chemicals
- Poisonous substances
- Human organs or tissue
- Wildlife products prohibited by law
- Pirated software
- Copyright-infringing material
- Fraudulent financial instruments
- Fake identification documents
- Malware or hacking tools intended for unlawful use
- Products that infringe intellectual property rights
- Products prohibited by applicable law
LinkVault reserves the right to remove any listing it determines is inappropriate, unsafe, or inconsistent with the objectives of the Marketplace.
10. Intellectual Property
Users may not:
- Upload copyrighted material without authorization.
- Use another person's trademark unlawfully.
- Copy product listings without permission.
- Distribute pirated content.
- Infringe patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade dress, or trade secrets.
Users represent that they own or have permission to use all uploaded content.
LinkVault may remove infringing content upon receipt of a valid complaint.
11. Artificial Intelligence and Generated Content
Users may publish AI-assisted content provided that:
- It does not deceive users about material facts.
- It does not infringe intellectual property rights.
- It complies with applicable laws.
- It does not facilitate fraud or impersonation.
AI-generated reviews, testimonials, or customer feedback presented as genuine experiences are prohibited.
12. Bio Pages
Users may not use LinkVault Bio to:
- Redirect users to malicious websites.
- Host phishing pages.
- Promote scams.
- Distribute malware.
- Circumvent platform restrictions.
- Misrepresent identity.
- Facilitate illegal transactions.
Bio pages should accurately represent the individual or organization operating them.
13. APIs and Developer Access
Developers must not:
- Reverse engineer LinkVault systems.
- Exceed published rate limits.
- Share API credentials.
- Attempt unauthorized access.
- Build services intended to abuse the platform.
- Interfere with platform availability.
- Circumvent security controls.
API access may be suspended without notice where abuse is detected.
14. Security
Users must not:
- Attempt unauthorized access.
- Scan or probe our systems without authorization.
- Interfere with authentication mechanisms.
- Attempt denial-of-service attacks.
- Exploit vulnerabilities.
- Bypass security protections.
- Share authentication credentials.
Responsible security disclosures are encouraged through our designated reporting channels.
15. Privacy and Personal Information
Users may not collect, store, sell, or disclose another person's personal information without a lawful basis and appropriate authorization.
This includes:
- Email addresses
- Phone numbers
- Home addresses
- Government-issued identification
- Payment information
- Authentication credentials
- Personal photographs where prohibited by law
16. Harassment and Abuse
Users may not engage in:
- Harassment
- Bullying
- Threats
- Hate speech
- Discrimination
- Defamation
- Stalking
- Intimidation
- Doxxing
- Extortion
- Blackmail
Professional and respectful communication is expected at all times.
17. Content Standards
Content published through LinkVault must not:
- Promote violence.
- Promote criminal activity.
- Encourage self-harm.
- Contain unlawful pornography.
- Promote terrorism or extremist organizations.
- Encourage discrimination.
- Spread malicious misinformation intended to cause harm.
- Violate applicable laws.
LinkVault may remove content that creates legal, security, or reputational risks for the platform or its users.
18. Payment Abuse
Users must not:
- Use stolen payment methods.
- Manipulate installment payments.
- Abuse the Pay Over Time feature.
- Artificially inflate transaction volume.
- Conduct wash transactions.
- Evade marketplace fees.
- Attempt unauthorized refunds.
Repeated payment abuse may result in permanent account termination.
19. Reviews and Ratings
Users may not:
- Purchase reviews.
- Sell reviews.
- Create fake reviews.
- Coordinate review manipulation.
- Threaten users over reviews.
- Offer undisclosed incentives for positive ratings.
Only genuine purchasing experiences should be reflected in reviews.
20. Automation
Automated tools may only be used where expressly authorized.
Unauthorized scraping, crawling, data mining, or automated account creation is prohibited.
Bots that negatively affect platform performance or user experience may be blocked.
21. Platform Integrity
Users may not:
- Attempt to bypass platform policies.
- Circumvent account restrictions.
- Create replacement accounts following suspension.
- Abuse promotional programs.
- Exploit software bugs for personal gain.
- Manipulate analytics or reporting systems.
22. Enforcement
LinkVault may investigate suspected violations using appropriate technical, administrative, and legal measures.
Where a violation is identified, we may:
- Remove content.
- Remove products.
- Suspend listings.
- Restrict features.
- Suspend accounts.
- Permanently terminate accounts.
- Delay or withhold payouts.
- Cancel transactions.
- Report unlawful conduct to competent authorities.
- Preserve evidence where required by law.
Enforcement decisions will be made in good faith and in accordance with applicable law.
23. Reporting Violations
Users are encouraged to report suspected violations through LinkVault's official support or reporting channels.
Reports should include sufficient information to allow us to investigate the matter.
Knowingly submitting false or malicious reports may itself constitute a violation of this Policy.
24. Changes to This Policy
We may revise this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, law, our Services, or platform practices.
Material changes may be communicated through email, the LinkVault dashboard, or other appropriate means.
Continued use of the Services after the effective date of revised policies constitutes acceptance of those changes.
25. Governing Law
This Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict of law principles.
